Tap Dance Class for Adults in Tucson, it’s very cool

*2024 UPDATE: this post is archived, but we currently have a different fun adult tap class! Our Feet Beats tap class is every Tuesday from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Floor Polish Dance Studio at 701 N. Main avenue in downtown Tucson. $10 drop-in. Beginners and all levels welcome, come make some noise with us! Tap shoes are helpful, but not required.

Adult Tap Dance on 4th avenue in Tucson, Bad-Ass Tap Class. Tuesday nights at 5:45pm.

We’ve got an awesome new class for downtown Tucson dancers, and it’s called Bad-Ass Tap Class. It is an adult tap dance class that focuses on classic moves set to contemporary music, with a playful and edgy attitude. Teens and adults are welcome, the music is unfiltered and ranges from Major Lazer (shown here) to Beyonce to Nirvana, etc. No previous tap dance experience is necessary, but some dance experience is recommended. Instructor Olivia grew up tapping and has a wonderful grasp on the tap dance basics and steps, with a flair for creative choreography. Every week she teaches drills and creates a fun routine to a different song. Adults will get the most out of the array of hip hop, rock, Latin or club music that we play around with in Bad-Ass Tap Class. Bring tap dance shoes if you have them, but if not – you can still try out the class with hard soled shoes like oxfords, loafers, etc. Come check it out at Floor Polish (215 N. Hoff ave. Tucson, AZ 85705) every Tuesday at 5:45pm, $6 to drop-in.
